Founded by visual artist/photographer/musician Ricky Day, UPL is a place where so called high culture is made accessible to the masses and sub-culture gets it’s moment in the sun.

    Born March 25,1964 Brooklyn NEW YORK, My name is Darrell Black, an American visual artist living in Frankfurt, Germany. I work in a variety of formats that include Paintings on canvas,wood and wall hanging sculpture called definism.My images portray various differences in human nature,from life’s everyday dramas to humankind’s quest to under-standing self. The artworks transport viewers from the doldrums of their daily reality,to a visual interpretation of another reality.

    If you have any interest in possibly writing a fun editorial piece on my new line of undergear: e=fu8

    I am based in Manhattan, my line is made in Manhattan, NYC.

    Below is my company bio:
    FU e=fu8 Underwear was officially launched in June 2011. FU is the actual first name of the Asian designer.
    e=fu8 is the designer’s own exclusive, trademarked formula for the pleasure principle. “Life is short; Maximize your pleasure principle.”
    He wanted to make undergarments that are well made, fun, stylish and luxurious for the fashion conscious, with an emphasis on clean lines & less is more minimalism. FU believes that even basic undergear can be luxury; since it is the foundation to getting dressed, the first item you put on, & the last item you take off.
    The current collection is pure white with royal blue lettering for a nautical, streamline look & feel. The material is super high quality.
    The various style briefs, boxer briefs are all made in Manhattan’s Garment District; and the designer’s label proudly says Made in NYC.
    The brand is already selling on the company’s website: http://fuunderwear.com; and is currently in talk to also be carried in Bergdorf Goodman, Saks, Barneys, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Macy’s, etc.
    Currently FU e=fu8 is making boxers, and flyless boxer briefs, along with a 2nd photo shoot & will be available soon.
    More cuts/styles/colors to follow in the near future. We are happy to get feedback & suggestions.
