This past Sunday was the artist reception for GA Gardner’s solo show Interconnections at Anthenaum in Old Town Alexandria, Virgina (just outside of Washington D.C.
The show was curated by Jrvis Dubois and is Mr. Gardner’s first solo show in the Washington D.C. area. The exhibition is on display at the Anthenaeum which is operated by The Northern Virginia Fine Arts Association (NVFAA).
The Northern Virginia Fine Arts Association is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in all forms of art, and to establishing programs that will enrich the cultural life of Northern Virginia and the surrounding metropolitan area. As the primary site for these activities, the NVFAA owns and maintains the historic building called the Athenaeum. NVFAA programs are open to the public and include:
* Art exhibits, lectures, and demonstrations featuring local and regional artists
* Performing arts events
* Ballet, yoga, and computer classes, as well as other educational programs
The show is on display until March 11, 2012 and well worth a visit to Alexandria, VA to check it out.
